A cybersecurity guy first and business executive second, Aloysius is a senior executive leader with nearly 20 years of experience. In his line of work, Aloysius had managed large multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary team spread across 5 continents and 4 major time zones. Time after time, he has successfully orchestrated a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team globally while fulfilling business requirements in a highly heterogeneous and demanding environment, many a time building up the business from scratch. Over the years, he has slowly built up rapport and a personal relationship at the board and C-suite executive level of these Global 500 companies and with ministers and senior government officials worldwide.

He was recently the Executive Vice President of Asia Pacific for the Cloud Security Alliance, covering the entire Asia including China, Japan and Indian sub-continent as well as ANZ. In this role, Aloysius was instrumental for the rapid expansion of the Alliance outside of the USA, obtaining critical executive buy-in from both the private and public sectors in the rest of the world as well as influential political and economic groups such as the ISO, INTERPOL, ITU-T, APCERT, ASEAN etc.  He left the organization having brought the CSA to having a presence of 35 chapters in 16 countries in APAC and over 50 corporate members joining from APAC region, of which 4 of them are Executive-level corporate members, representing half of the total number at this prestigious level of membership.  Previous to that, Aloysius had served as the Worldwide Head for Security with one of the largest global telecommunication company and a regional Technology Practice Leader for one of the world’s largest management consulting company.

An active community leader, Aloysius have supported many security movement and cultivated numerous security groups. He was instrumental in a valiant but failed initiative of setting up IT Security as a professional occupation with legal statutes supporting that establishment, with attempts to create dual hubs for the certification/chartering process with IISP in UK and AISP in Singapore, of which he was protem chairman for AISP from 2006-2007, and chaired its predecessor, SIG^2 from 2002 to 2006. He was the author and co-editor of ISO/IEC 27032 “Guidelines for Cybersecurity” and had previously contributed to SS507 “Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Industry Standard” that was adopted as ISO/IEC 24762.

Aloysius holds B.Sc (Hons) and Masters in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore and had read D.BA from the Southern Cross University of Australia. His professional certifications include CISA, CISSP and GCIH. Aloysius’s views are valued by major media globally such as Times, Wall Street Journal, ZDNet, CIO, The Straits Times and ChannelNewsAsia as an independent source of specialist opinion.
